Kyrgyzstan’s experience in developing the cross-national profile “E-commerce Specialist”

As part of the first pilot phase of the DARYA project, the experience of developing a cross-national occupational profile for the profession of “E-commerce Specialist” was presented. The work involved an analysis of national qualifications frameworks, occupational standards, curricula, and regulatory documents in Central Asian countries.
Particular attention was paid to comparing the levels of Kyrgyzstan’s National Qualifications Framework with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), as well as to describing the competency units, knowledge, skills, responsibilities, and autonomy of the specialist. This approach allows for the use of cross-country profiles as a basis for updating national occupational standards, designing new training programs, and more accurately aligning qualification requirements.
Discussions of the pilot results confirmed that cross-country profiles can serve as a practical tool for modernizing qualifications systems and strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia.
